Data collected through this website is stored subject to Swiss federal law regarding data protection.
The following data is, or may optionally be collected: name, email address(es), telephone number(s), affiliation, address(es), picture, gender, academic status, research field or interests, scientific advisor or mentor, a short biography, social networking addresses, news and publications feed address(es).
This data is collected for the purposes of: registration for workshops, conferences and the like, billing of the same, providing social networking information to your fellow attendees, and ensuring that suitable accomodation is provided for you at the events you attend.
No data is collected about you other than that which is entered through this website, or that which is unavoidably associated with your use of the website such as your IP address.
All of the data you provide may be transmitted to fellow registrants for social networking purposes.
No data will be transmitted to other third parties except insofar as it is required to be supplied to third party organizations running conferences, workshops and the like for which you have registered, e.g. for the production of identity badges, or insofar as it is required by third party organizations (e.g. hotels) arranging accomodation for you at events for which you have registered, or insofar as required by law.
Your data may be held on servers in Switzerland, or outside of Switzerland, but only in countries and territories which the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) (German: Eidgenössischer Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragter (EDÖB)) considers offer appropriate protection.
